DAY 1

“We need a leadership that will ensure access to better medical facilities and better education for our children.”

This is a message from a lady and her children in Masindi District, Bunyoro Region. She is saying this to those who are going to vote, and those who aspire for leadership. The situation in most healthcare units around the country is absurd, to say the least. But without saying much, I would like you to chew on what the lady is saying, to discuss it on this forum.

Her message is so true..but sadly, may not be heard

But what can we do to make it heard? And by whom?

  • http://therisingpage.wordpress.com/ TRP

I have been thinking about that lately – The only way we can make these voices heard is
*if we (as citizens) speak up and shout on behalf of the voiceless.
*if our leaders were appointed into office with the RIGHT motive.

  • Sonya

Its so sad and heart breaking that the poor in Uganda are extremely very poor and the rich are over overwhelmingly stinking rich!! I guess we need a president who will make sure that resources and equally distributed, that everyone has access to them and not a limited privileged few. So please Ugandans vote with your eyes wide open.

  • Herbie

We can only change the situation Uganda is in by not putting emphasis on the presidency but on members of parliament( change the leadership structure starting from the bottom and the top will collapse). What has let Uganda down most are the cheap parliamentarians we have been voting into office.

  • Atenyim

Let’s vote wisely and hold the leaders to account. No accountability no vote.

  • Stella

Am for the fact that even as we vote for the right people,we reach out and help when we can!!
